You've built an audience, now it's time to learn from it. Here we discuss the different ways you can use Instagram's Insights Dashboard to create the content your audience wants to see from you and grow your channel.
Assess your channel performance before and immediately after you publish a post
Compare your top performing posts over the short-term vs the long-term.
Identify potential new themes by analysing what worked for mid-level posts
Are you tired of guessing what your Instagram community likes? It's time to deep dive into Instagram analytics! Hi, I'm Ayame and I've been creating on Instagram for a few years now. I've had some great posts and I've had some could be better posts, but I'm here to tell you how to take the guesswork out of what works with Instagram's Insight Dashboard. So, here's how you access it: You click on those three bars in the top right, click on it, and then you scroll down to Insi- scroll down to Insights. Trust me, you're going to want to see this it's going to change your life! Once you're here, you can see your likes, your comments, your saves, your replays all of it, look at those stunning stats! Stats!
And I’m going to tell you how to get the most of this dashboard with my top three tips. I'm here weekly; I personally like to see my overview page just before posting something new, and then immediately after posting something new, just to see the impact it's made on my channel. Girl, where are you going? For example, as you can see here, there's been an enormous 30% decrease in my account's reach, and I haven't been posting consistently over the last couple of weeks, so it shows to me that my community needs some TLC, and I've heard you loud and clear. I'll get on to it! You can also compare Your top-performing content over the long and short term that button here allows you to filter between 7, 30, 90 a whole load of days for example if I look at my accounts reached in the last seven days, it's all of my aesthetically pleasing posts, more traditional, more slay. But if I broaden that to the last 90 days, it's all of my reaction videos that actually get seen the most. These are the reel covers for my reaction videos because I've got to stay slay and this just tells me that whilst my community is loving the videos of me looking like a cute girl, it's the reaction videos that just keeps them coming. The funny reactions just build the channel, so now I've learned that my top-performing content is usually reaction videos, but sometimes I like to look at other posts to identify some new content ideas that my community might also like. For example, this video of me reading my tablet was something I don't usually post; it gained me 138 followers and had an almost 50/50 split in followers to non-followers. This tells me there's a chance of reaching a new community that enjoys reading just with this style of content. So these are just some of the ways that I analyze my content, so stop guessing what works and know for sure, using the Instagram Insight Dashboard.
