Instagram gifts are a way for creators to get support from fans who love their content and earn money. People can purchase Stars and share virtual gifts directly in the Instagram app to show appreciation for Reels they love.

Recognize your fans
If you tap the heart icon next to your supporters, they’ll get a notification that you’ve seen and recognized their gift.

You can see your total and monthly approximate earnings in Professional Dashboard.

How to get started with gifts
Am I eligible?
Instagram gifts are currently available to all creators who:
- Have a professional account
- Be 18+
- Reside in eligible country (details below)
- Meet partner monetization policies
- Have 500+ followers
Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, The UK and The US.
Set up a Payout Account
To receive funds eligible for payouts for Instagram gifts, you must set up a payout account. If a fan buys a gift for a creator who has not onboarded to monetization tools, the creator will be able to see who sent them a gift but they will not be able to receive earnings from it.

- To receive funds eligible for payout, you must set up a payout account. You will then be paid out when your total balance reaches $25 USD.

- Instagram offers fans several gift packages to choose from that vary in value. Creators receive $.01 USD for every star they receive from fans. (For example, 100 Stars = $1).
