For a limited time, Instagram is testing two invite-only bonuses: a bonus for reels, and a bonus for posts, which focuses on carousels and single image posts.
- If you’ve received an invite to a bonus, you’ll see the invite on your professional dashboard.
- Once you accept the invite and complete the onboarding flow, you can earn from sharing public reels or posts, depending on which bonus you've been invited to.
- Instagram will automatically count up to 150 pieces of content shared from the week you activate until the end of the bonus opportunity.
- The more bonus plays or views your content receives, the more you earn.
BONUSES ELIGIBILITY
Bonuses are limited time and invite-only as we build toward a sustainable program.
Am I eligible for a bonus?
- To qualify for the bonus for reels, you must have a minimum of 5 million views within the previous 3 consecutive calendar months when we check for eligibility. The bonus for reels is only available in the US and South Korea.
- To qualify for the bonus on photo and carousel posts, you must also reach a minimum number of views per month for 3 consecutive months. The minimum depends on your region:
- South Korea: 1M views
- US: 5M views
- Japan, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway: 500K views
- Ireland: 1M views
- South Africa: 2M views
- Instagram will invite cohorts to test bonuses from time to time. Even if you meet the above minimum requirements, not all eligible creators will be selected to participate.
To be eligible for a bonus program invitation, you must also:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be located and have tax status in Japan, South Korea or the US.
- Have a professional account on Instagram (business or creator).
- Follow our Partner Monetization Policies and Content Monetization Policies.

Set up Bonuses on Instagram
- Go to the Instagram app.
- Tap into the professional dashboard at the top of your profile.
- Tap the invitation on your professional dashboard. If you do not see an invitation, you have not been invited to test any bonus opportunities at this time.
- Follow the prompts and tap Activate Bonus. By activating the bonus, you agree to the Instagram Creator Incentives Terms, Instagram Bonuses general program rules, and specific bonus program rules.
- You must add a payout account to receive a bonus payout. Follow these steps to set up your payout account. Without a payout account, you can earn up to $500 per monetization tool, with a maximum of $1,500 across 3 tools. If you haven’t added a payout account within 6 months, you’ll forfeit and waive all rights to receive your earnings.
- You are now ready to begin earning from the bonus you have activated.
